Psalm 39:7-8 "And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You. 8 Deliver me from all my transgressions; Do not make me the reproach of the foolish.
What do I wait for? Knowing your Heavenly Father, you are waiting for more than you can ask or imagine. When you enter into the secret place and spend time with your Father in Heaven, you can be assured to be rewarded openly. (Matt. 6:6) Your Father wants to forgive all your sins and deliver you from all your transgressions. Come before Him and let God renew you and make you clean. God’s grace and mercy are more than you can ask or imagine.
Isa. 64:3-4 When You did awesome things for which we did not look, You came down, The mountains shook at Your presence. 4 For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.
God will act for the one who waits for Him, for the one who builds up an intimate relationship with Him. You can build up an intimate relationship with the God who created the heavens and earth. We find in the verse above that God did awesome things for which God’s people didn’t look for. God did more than they asked or imagined. This should encourage you to wait on the Lord.
Isa. 55:8-9 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. 9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
God’s plans, ideas, and thoughts are much higher than yours. That is why God can and wants to do more than you ask or imagine. You should not limit God with your earthly plans, ideas, and thoughts. God, please forgive my unbelief! You should put your trust in the help of the Holy Spirit so that you can pray according HIS HEAVENLY WILL. When you humble yourself before God and trust in the help of the Holy Spirit to pray, you will see heaven being opened. (Matt. 5:3)
1Cor. 2:9-10 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
The Holy Spirit can reveal to you the invisible, inaudible, and incomprehensible thoughts and ways of God. The Holy Spirit can help you to see, hear, and understand God’s will for you. That is why the Holy Spirit can help you to pray according to God’s will. (Rom. 8:26-27) Praying in the Holy Spirit will help you to build yourselves up in your most holy faith. (Jude 1:20) Praying in and with the help of the Holy Spirit will help you to know God and understand His thoughts and ways better. The Holy Spirit will help you to pray exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you can ask or imagine.
Phil. 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When you wait upon God in prayer, and when you meditate on His promises, all worries will flee from you. When you see upon God, the creator of Heaven and earth, your faith will start to rise. Nothing is impossible for our God! (Luke 1:37) God will do more than you can ask or imagine. When you wait on God and pray, the peace of God will overwhelm you and surpass all your understanding.
Eph. 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
God can work in and through you when you believe in Christ, in a way that is above all that you can ask or imagine. The Lord Jesus Christ even said that the works He did you can do too! (John 14:12) We have to renew our mind to the standard of Jesus Christ. Jesus is Christ is the express image of God and you were created in God’s image. (Hebr. 1:3) You will be conformed to the image of Christ. (Rom. 8:29) As the Father sends Christ, Christ sends you too. (John 20:21) As He is, so are you in this world. (1John 4:17) If you abide in Him, you should walk like Him. (1John 2:6) You should come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Eph. 4:13) You can walk in the light as He is in the light. (1John 1:7) I know, this is exceedingly, abundantly above all that you ask or imagine.
Learn to wait on God! Become aware that you are one with the God who created the heavens and the earth. You are one with God, like the Vine and the branches, like the Head and the body, and like the bride and the Bridegroom. Wait on God, spend time with Him, and you become exceedingly, abundantly, above all what you ask or imagine.
1Cor. 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord IS one spirit with Him.
John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
Hebr. 1:3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Rom. 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
John 20:21 So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."
1John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
1John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Eph. 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
