Waiting on the Lord brings many blessings to the believer who seeks Him. Blessings, refreshing, and renewal are available to the believer who seeks God with whole his heart. The practice of waiting on the Lord has been lost in our time, and believers are missing out on amazing blessings that God has prepared for those who trust in Him.
The word “waiting” in Hebrew is the word “Qavah” (Strong’s H6960). Qavah means to collect, to bind together, and to twist together. Waiting on the Lord is the practice of becoming aware of your unity with God. Waiting on the Lord helps you to bind yourself together with God’s love, God’s nature, and God’s destiny for your life. The practice of waiting on the Lord can be done through meditating on God’s Word and becoming one with His Word. The Word of God can become a door or gate to enter into the spiritual realms of the Kingdom of God. Hebr. 4:14-16, Hebr. 10:19-222, Hebr. 12:22-24

For example, the Word becomes a door as you visualize Christ as the Vine and yourself as the branches and experience the mystical union with Christ. (John 15:1-8) Discover and experience that you can draw the wisdom, power, and love of the Vine to become a successful and fruitful branch.
We will study a scripture from the book of Isaiah to get a deeper understanding of the practice of waiting on the Lord. We will discover and experience that there will be an exchange between God and the believer who waits on Him.
Isa. 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
You should hear and know that the everlasting God doesn’t faint or get weary. God has supernatural power, and He never gets depressed or tired. When we wait upon the Lord, we should meditate on His Kingdom, majesty, power, and glory. We should become overwhelmed because of who He is. How great is our God!
Isa. 40:29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
God is love, and He cares about people. God wants to give power to the weak, and He wants to give strength to those who need it. Do you feel weak, and are you depressed without hope in this world? Congratulations! God is looking for you! There is good news for the sick and tired, there is good news for the weary and depressed.
Isa. 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
The youths today are depressed and have mental problems as never before. The youths today don’t have hope for a good future. The youths in our day don’t even want to marry and have children. The youths today have a serious identity problem, and they can’t see how precious they actually are. They just feel sick and tired.
Isa. 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Through waiting on the Lord, through binding together with the Lord, through twisting together with the Lord, we start to receive His power and strength. His power and strength are supernatural, and we will run and not be weary and walk and not faint. Waiting on the Lord will bring refreshing and renewal in our lives, and this will be a testimony to the people around us. Christ is the Vine, and we are the branches. When we wait on Him in rest, we “download” His wisdom, power, love, and strength, which we need to manifest in our daily lives.
Waiting on the Lord will also help us to mount up with wings like eagles. We will be lifted up above our difficulties and circumstances when we wait on the Lord, being one with Him. When we wait upon the Lord, we put our mind on the things above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. (Col. 3:1) You will find out that you are seated with and in Him in heavenly places. (Eph. 2:6)
The Apostle John, who wrote the “Eagle Gospel,” heard a voice that said, Come up here and I will show you. After the first door went open (Rev. 3:20), a second door went open (Rev. 4:1). Waiting on the Lord will give you new experiences in the Lord. Start today, and your life will never be the same.
Isa. 64:3-4 When You did awesome things for which we did not look, You came down, The mountains shook at Your presence. 4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.
Jer. 33:3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
