Isa. 61:1-2   "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

We are in the last days, which means that God’s patience with this world is almost finished. After the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed “the acceptable year of the Lord,” that lasted for about 2000 years, we are now entering the time to proclaim “the day of vengeance of our God.”

God’s judgment came on the gods of Egypt when He wanted to get His people out of Egypt (Ex. 12:12). In the same way, God’s judgment will come on the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places to save His people from this world. (Eph. 6:12) As God’s people left Egypt, God’s harvest will come “out” of the world, and God’s people will be taken out of this world. (1Thess. 4:13-18)

PRAY FOR GOD’S WRATH TO COME ON EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS THE GOSPEL

We want to bring in the harvest for our Lord Jesus Christ in these end times. The harvest is ripe, but the workers are few. Another problem is that world systems and false religions are hindering the gospel. When we read the Bible, we find that we can call God’s wrath and judgment to come on these world systems and religions now, so that the gospel can advance and be spread out.

CALL FOR GOD’S WRATH TO COME TO THE UTTERMOST ON WORLD-SYSTEMS AND RELIGIONS THAT HINDER THE GOSPEL

1Thess. 2:16 forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

World systems and false religions are hindering the spreading of the gospel, and their sin is great in God’s eyes. They are hindering God’s plan to let all people be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Tim. 2:4) Many world systems are led by religions like Fake Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Freemasonry. May God’s wrath come upon them to the uttermost! It is time that people in this world fear the body of Christ as it was in the book of Acts. (Acts 5:11-13)

We can execute vengeance on our enemies by asking God to unleash His vengeance on our enemies. We can also declare God’s wrath on our enemies and enemies of the gospel, as we can read in the book of Acts.

Ps. 94:1-2  O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs-- O God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth! 2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth; Render punishment to the proud.

CALL GOD’S WRATH TO COME ON FALSE PROPHETS

Acts 13:6-7 Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus, 7 who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God.

Barnabas and Paul had a great opportunity to preach the gospel to Sergius Paulus, the governor of Cyprus. We read that there was a false prophet, and he occupied that place for the devil through using sorcery. He tried to hinder the spreading of the gospel. It came to a confrontation between light and darkness.

Acts 13: 8-12 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so his name is translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. 9 Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him 10 and said, "O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? 11 And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time." And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

The Apostle Paul went into full combat with the false prophet who was a son of the devil. Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit and executed God’s judgment on the false prophet by proclaiming a curse on him. The Apostle Paul used his God given authority to “speak”, “declare,” or “proclaim” God’s wrath on the enemy of the gospel. Immediately, he, Elymas the sorcerer, became blind and was rendered ineffective to do the devil’s work. God’s wrath on the enemy brought salvation to Sergius Paulus, the governor of Cyprus. I believe it is time to have a showdown with the enemy, and people will fear our Lord Jesus Christ, all around the world.

Christians today are “softies,” they are so sweet and loving. Mostly they are salt without taste or lamps without oil. But when we read the Bible, we see that the Apostle Paul, who is a pattern for us, proclaims God’s judgment on the enemies of the gospel. The Apostle Paul, when he was still called Saul, experienced God’s wrath when he started to arrest and kill Christians. (Acts 9:1-8)

Acts 9:5-8 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads." 6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." 7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. 8 Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened, he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.

The Apostle Paul’s personal experience of becoming blind after he opposed the Lord Jesus Christ and His Body, the Church, taught Paul to pray for blindness to come on the false prophet Elymas when he opposed the gospel. God’s wrath on the enemy brought salvation to Saul, who became the Apostle Paul.

CALL FOR A CURSE ON FALSE TEACHERS

Gal. 1:6-9   I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

The Apostle Paul is straightforward and proclaims that when people come with a false gospel that they should be accursed. Here again, we see that the enemies of the gospel should be warned and cursed. In today’s Christianity, we find it difficult to understand this verse. Did not the Bible tell us that we should love our enemies? Are these brothers who pervert the gospel just a little different from us?

The problem here is that people are not hindering us, but they are hindering the gospel. God commands that this gospel be preached all around the world. Anybody who goes against this command is going against God and will be in trouble.

Why could the Apostle Paul pray this prayer? What was His authority to call a curse on false teachers? The authority to pray this prayer came from God’s Word!

Gal. 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

The Apostle Paul activated the Word! When people try to save themselves by keeping the law or through their own works, they are under the curse. The Apostle Paul activated this curse by proclaiming it, the same as he proclaimed blindness on the false prophet. It needs to be activated by speaking the word! For example, the prophet Elijah activated the judgment of God on the nation of Israel by speaking God’s Word.

The Bible shows us that the saints have the honor to execute vengeance on the nations and to execute the written judgment. They should do this with the singing of high praises and a two-edged sword (the Word) in their hands. God’s vengeance and judgment will be executed by praising and speaking the Word of God. Opening our mouths and speaking His Word will “activate” God’s judgment in our days.

Psalm 149:5-9 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; 8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute on them the written judgment--

--This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!

People all around the world are scared of Islam and think twice before they make a joke about Islam out of fear of being killed. People like to make jokes about Christians and use God’s name as a curse word. This has to change so that people will fear the name of the Lord and repent everywhere. It is time to bring in the harvest for our Lord Jesus Christ!

Acts 4:29-31 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus." 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
